IMPORTANT NOTICE – M-Protekt system suspensions

NOTE – if you have already chosen to migrate your services to Quiktrak please ignore the below notice.

Quiktrak Global wish to provide a FINAL NOTICE to all M-Protekt clients impacted by the termination of the distribution with Motor One for the supply and support of the M-Protekt solutions. Our previous mail-outs have been completed on 19.12.2019 and 21.01.2020. These can be found at first letter.pdf and second letter.pdf.

M-Protekt Impacts as a result of Motor One termination of the M-Protekt distribution agreement.

  • Suspended services – All M-Protekt services were suspended in December 2019, leaving systems inoperable.
  • Support services suspended – All M-Protekt support has been suspended*.
  • Theft recovery services suspended – All M-Protekt theft recovery services are suspended*.

*Recovery/support fee for non Quiktrak clients is comprised of a $500.00 inc GST non-refundable payment upfront and $500.00 inc GST payment upon successful activation.

MIGRATION OPTION TO QUIKTRAK

Automotive Technology Group Australia (ATGA) at the request of Quiktrak Global has been conducting follow up emails and calls to impacted clients to provide our offering to migrate your services to Quiktrak. Please note this will vary based on the system type currently fitted.

With the large number of impacted clients, they are working through attempting to make contact to ensure all impacted clients are aware of the situation. Should you wish to speak with a staff member please email support@quiktrak.com.au with your name, number and location.

MIGRATION DEADLINE

ATGA has worked with Quiktrak Global to provide clients the opportunity to migrate their services to allow clients to continue being protected and provide increased services. A deadline has been set for 30th April 2020 for all migration offers to have been accepted and actioned. Those clients who choose not to migrate and require assistance in the future will be required to pay the recovery/support fee for NON QUIKTRAK clients.

GENERAL OPTIONS TO CLIENTS

Please note that migrating to Quiktrak is NOT your only option. Impacted M-Protekt clients are encouraged to investigate all your options, some are listed below. Please note these are generic and will depend upon your individual circumstances.

  • Contact your dealer – Your dealer or place of purchase should have a range of solutions for you to review.
  • Contact Motor One – Contacting Motor One direct may result in a solution being offered to you.
  • Contact consumer protection – should you fail to have a satisfactory outcome with your supplier consumer protection will be able to provide you with your rights under Australian Law.
  • Migrate to Quiktrak – Migrating allows you to keep your existing system and services, fees do apply however are only applicable on a successful activation and migration post remote system check.
  • Allow the services to lapse – Allowing the services to lapse will result I your vehicle remaining unprotected with the solution purchased.

Quiktrak and ATGA are continuing to provide its clients and those who may migrate services throughout the current global pandemic and have taken steps to ensure all employees are safe and complying with all regulations and guidelines to help reduce the impact of Covid19.

We understand at this time households and businesses are looking to reduce costs where possible and as such are working with customers to ensure the protection of their assets during the uncertain times.
